Heart Conditions:
Theobromine in Cacao increases your heart rate significantly. Discretion on dosage and frequency of consumption advised.
Prescribed Hypertension Medication:
Cacao is a vasodilator; expanding blood vessels and lowering blood pressure. Cacao may intensify or interfere with effects of prescription medication. You may also experience sweating and briefly elevated body temperature. Oxygenation of the skin can cause a flushed appearance.
